STUDENT IDENTITY VERIFICATION (SIV)

While taking your course online, and during the online final examination, you will be asked Student Identity Verification (SIV) questions randomly. These questions are taken from the information that you provided during your enrollment. You will have 45 seconds to respond correctly to these questions.

During Your Course: you will be asked random SIV questions. If you miss two consecutive SIV questions you will be denied access to your course and you will need to contact your school.

IMPORTANT: If you are denied access more than once (due to missing the required number of SIV questions), your course will be permanently disabled; therefore, you will need to contact your school. The School's Administrator will have to RESET your course back to Lesson 1 (once you have successfully proven your identity by answering questions by the School's Administrator).

During Your Online Examination: you will be asked random SIV questions. If you miss ANY SIV question during the online final examination, you will be denied access to the exam and must contact your school to schedule a paper and pencil examination. Once you start the online final examination you must
complete the exam in one sitting.

STUDENT AFFIDAVIT (Alternative Instructional Methods Reporting Form)
The Student Affidavit is a signed document certifying that you have personally completed each assigned lesson of instruction. It is a REQUIREMENT for course completion, and must be returned to United Homeland or you will NOT be eligible for course completion (which means that you will NOT receive a Certificate of Completion and/or have your course completion reported to your state). In addition, you will also be required to complete a Product and Customer Service Evaluation questionnaire before completing your Student Affidavit. This questionnaire is completed online and will automatically appear once you click on the Student Affidavit/MCE Reporting Form link that becomes available on your "Course Home Page" after you have completed the last lesson of your course.

COURSE EXPIRATION AN D REVIEW
All
course lessons on the computer must be completed within 180 days from the date of enrollment. Access to the computer lessons will expire at midnight on the 180th day after enrollment.

You have 90 days to access and review the course content after you have completed the last lesson in a course. (Regardless of when the course is completed within the 180 days from enrollment.)

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

You have the right to cancel your registration for any reason up to seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase. Requests for cancellation of a registration must be made by contacting United Homeland by phone, FAX, or e-mail . The request must be received by United Homeland before midnight of the seventh calendar day from the date of purchase.

A cancellation fee will be charged to the student to cancel a registration. The amount of the cancellation fee is 15% of the total purchase amount. If the course includes one or more textbooks, the books must be returned at the student's expense. The request for cancellation will not be processed until the book(s) are returned to the school in reusable condition.

COURSE EXAMINATIONS
Texas students taking a core course or mandatory continuing education course are required to successfully complete the course and pass an examination. A minimum score of 70% correct is required to pass the course. Once the course content is complete a link to your Online Exam becomes available. You will be given 1 opportunity to pass an Online Exam. If for any reason you are not able to complete the online exam in its entirety or if you fail to pass the exam on the first attempt, then you will need to contact United Homeland to schedule a proctored (paper and pencil) exam.

NON DISCRIMINATION

United Homeland will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, or familial status in the establishment of fees, entrance qualifications or standards for successful completion in any course.
